1. Definitions

“Service” means CareerSeeker AI’s website and related features, including the AI-generated career report you access after payment.

“User,” “you” or “your” means any person accessing or using the “Service”.

“Free Service” the zero-cost AI career quiz and basic recommendations, available at no charge and without account registration.

“Purchase” the act of paying a single fee in exchange for a “Report”.

“Start Plan” means access to the basic AI-driven career quiz and recommendations at no charge.

“Pro Plan” or “Premium Plan” means the paid tier that unlocks additional features (e.g., advanced insights, 3 career suggestions, job postings, follow-up chat).

“Ultimate Plan” means the premium paid tier with the most comprehensive features (e.g., 8-week action plan, career decision matrix, multi-path comparison).

“Report”, “Reports” – a one-time AI-generated career analysis document that you purchase via a one-time fee using “Pro Plan” or “Ultimate Plan”.

“Stripe” means Stripe, Inc., the third-party payment processor used to handle all payment transactions securely.

“Purchase Token” a unique cryptographic identifier issued after successful payment that grants access to your purchased Report.

“Consent” your acknowledgment and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy before completing a Purchase.

2. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of CareerSeeker AI (https://careerseeker.ai/). By using our website, you agree to comply with these terms.

3. Use of Website

3.1. CareerSeeker AI provides career-related guidance using AI-generated insights.

3.2. Start Plan (Free): No account or registration required. Access basic career quiz with limited recommendations.

3.3. Pro Plan and Ultimate Plan: During purchase you must provide accurate billing details via Stripe’s secure checkout. A valid email address is required for purchase confirmation and quiz access.

3.4. For Reports, you must complete a one-time Purchase and, if you wish to view a new or updated Report, pay again for each Report.

3.5. You must use the website lawfully and not engage in harmful activities, including but not limited to: attempting to circumvent payment systems, sharing purchase tokens with others, or using automated tools to access paid features without authorization.

4. Purchase Terms

4.1 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. By completing a purchase, you agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service (https://stripe.com/legal). CareerSeeker AI never receives, stores, or has access to your full credit card details.

4.2 One-Time Purchase

You may purchase a single career report (“Report“) by completing a one-time payment at the then-current rate displayed at checkout. Prices are displayed in your selected currency.

4.3 Checkout Process

To complete a purchase:

  1. Select your plan (Pro or Ultimate) on the pricing page
  2. Review and accept the Terms of Service (required)
  3. Review and accept the Privacy Policy (required)
  4. Optionally opt-in to marketing communications
  5. Complete payment on Stripe’s secure checkout page
  6. Receive confirmation and immediate redirect to the career assesment quiz

4.4 Access After Payment

  • Upon successful payment, you will be redirected immediately to the career quiz
  • Your access is verified via a secure purchase token stored in your browser as a cookie
  • You have 13 months from the date of purchase to complete the quiz
  • Each purchase grants access to one complete quiz submission and Report generation
  • Your Report remains accessible after generation (see Section 4.5)

4.5 Access Period for Reports

After completing the quiz:

  • Your Report is available immediately upon quiz completion
  • Reports are accessible for a minimum of 30 days from generation
  • Results are stored for ongoing access using anonymous identifiers
  • You may optionally receive your Report link via email if you opted into this feature
  • We recommend saving or bookmarking your Report URL for future reference

4.6 Re-Purchase for Additional Reports

Each Report purchase grants access only to that specific Report. If you wish to obtain a new or updated Report (for example, with different quiz answers or updated career data), you must complete a separate one-time payment.

4.7 Pricing and Taxes

  • All fees are displayed at checkout in your selected currency (USD, EUR, GBP, PLN, or other supported currencies)
  • Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, duties, or governmental charges unless otherwise stated
  • You are responsible for payment of all such taxes incurred in your jurisdiction
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time; changes will not affect existing purchases

4.8 Payment Methods and Failed Payments

  • We accept major credit and debit cards via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and others)
  • Additional payment methods may be available depending on your location
  • If a payment fails, you will not receive quiz access until payment is successfully processed
  • Stripe may decline payments for fraud prevention; if this occurs, please contact your card issuer

4.9 No Guarantee of Results

CareerSeeker AI offers career suggestions based on AI-generated insights. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, suitability, or reliability of recommendations.

  • AI-generated content may contain errors or may not reflect your specific circumstances
  • Career suggestions are for informational purposes only and should not be considered professional career advice
  • You should conduct independent research and consult qualified professionals before making career decisions
  • Past performance of the AI system does not guarantee future results

5. Refund Policy

5.1 General Policy

All purchases are final and non-refundable due to the digital nature of the service and immediate AI processing costs incurred upon quiz completion.

5.2 Exceptions

Refunds may be considered in the following limited circumstances:

  • Technical Failure: Verified technical issues that completely prevented delivery of or access to your purchased Report
  • Duplicate Charges: Accidental duplicate payments for the same Report (only the duplicate charge will be refunded)

5.3 How to Request a Refund

If you believe you qualify for a refund exception:

  1. Contact us within 7 days of purchase at [email protected]
  2. Include the following information:
    • Email address used for purchase
    • Approximate date and time of purchase
    • Description of the issue encountered
    • Any error messages or screenshots (if applicable)
  3. We will review your request and respond within 5 business days

5.4 Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds are processed via Stripe to your original payment method
  • Refunds typically appear within 5-10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer
  • We reserve the right to determine, in our sole discretion, whether a refund is warranted based on the nature and circumstances of the issue
  • Refund decisions are final

5.5 Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be provided for:

  • Dissatisfaction with AI-generated career recommendations
  • Change of mind after purchase
  • Failure to complete the quiz within the access period
  • Inability to access the service due to user-side issues (e.g., browser compatibility, internet connection)

6. Intellectual Property

6.1. All content on the website, including text, graphics, logos, and AI-generated results, is owned by CareerSeeker AI and protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

6.2. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.

6.3. Your Report: You are granted a non-exclusive, personal license to use, download, and share your individual Report for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1. CareerSeeker AI is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

7.2. We are not responsible for any losses, damages, or decisions made based on our AI-generated insights.

7.3. In no event shall CareerSeeker AI’s total liability exceed the amount you paid for the specific Report giving rise to the claim.

7.4. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

8. Customer Support

8.1. Start Plan Support: Users of the free Service may submit support inquiries via email at [email protected]. We aim to respond within 48 business hours.

8.2. Pro Plan and Ultimate Plan Support: Purchasers of a Report receive priority email support at [email protected]. Our target response time for paid plan support requests is within 24 hours.

8.3. Support Hours: Our support team operates Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays.

9. Data Processing & GDPR

9.1. Privacy Policy Reference: Your personal data collected during Report purchase is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at https://careerseeker.ai/privacy-policy/, which you acknowledge by using the Service.

9.2. Lawful Basis & Purpose: We process your data under the lawful basis of:

  • Contract performance (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) – to fulfill your purchase and deliver your Report
  • Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR) – for tax and financial record-keeping
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) – for service improvement and analytics

9.3. Data Retention & Rights: Your personal data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the Services or comply with legal obligations. You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, and portability under GDPR; to exercise these, contact us as described in the Privacy Policy.

9.4. International Transfers: Your data may be processed in the United States where our infrastructure providers are located. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

10. Payment Security

10.1 Secure Processing

All payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe on their secure checkout page. CareerSeeker AI never receives, stores, or has access to your full credit card number, expiration date, or CVC.

10.2 PCI Compliance

Stripe is certified as a PCI Level 1 Service Provider, the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. This ensures your payment data is handled with the highest security standards.

10.3 Fraud Prevention

Stripe may collect device information and IP address for fraud prevention purposes. Legitimate transactions may occasionally be declined for security reasons. If your payment is declined, please contact your card issuer. You can learn more in Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

10.4 Purchase Token Security

Your quiz access is authenticated via a cryptographically secure token stored in your browser. This token:

  • Is unique to your purchase
  • Expires after 13 months
  • Should not be shared with others, as it grants access to your purchased service
  • Is stored securely as an HttpOnly cookie

11. Governing Law

11.1. These terms are governed by Polish law.

11.2. Any disputes shall be resolved in Polish courts.

11.3. For EU consumers, you may also use the EU’s online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/.

12. Changes to Terms

12.1. We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements.

12.2. Material changes will be announced with reasonable notice (typically 14 days) via our website or email to registered purchasers.

12.3. Continued use of the website after changes take effect implies acceptance of any changes.

12.4. If you do not agree to updated terms, you should discontinue use of the Service.

13. Modification of Service & Features

13.1. We may modify, add, or remove features (including within the Pro Plan and Ultimate Plan) at any time.

13.2. We will provide at least 14 days’ notice for material removals or changes that adversely affect your purchased services.

13.3. Minor updates, improvements, or bug fixes may be implemented without prior notice.
